Judie's notes on Eddie Fitzgerald...
After my mom died, I dipped down into a pretty low valley of depression for several months. My husband and I decided to take a short getaway to Niagara Falls for a weekend just to relax and regroup.
One morning while feeling particularly depressed, we walked down to the falls. It was mid-winter and icy cold but I couldn't really feel anything anyway so it didn't matter to me. Seemingly out of nowhere, a weather-worn man approached us on a rickety old bicycle. He proceeded to tell us his life story about how ever since his wife had died, he traveled around the country telling people all about his life.
I became very drawn to what he was saying as he told us about a little girl he had visited in a hospital who was sad because he had to leave her. At this point in his story he looked directly at me and said, "Don't worry, I will always be with you. When you are happy I will be there, and when you are down, I will be there too. You will never be alone. I will always be by your side". I felt this incredible surge of energy coming into me. As I looked into the blue of his eyes, it felt as though we were communicating soul to soul. It was as if my mom and a Higher Power were speaking directly to me through this incredible angelic being.
We gave him some money for his collection basket and he was off and disappeared just as quickly as he came. I felt totally blown away. I was dizzy, trembling and crying and had to hold onto my husband until I regained my grounding. This was the most powerful spiritual experience I'd ever had. I was soooo glad that my husband was with me to witness this occurrence. To this day, Eddie Fitzgerald remains and will always be his favorite song and I will NEVER forget the blue of his eyes.

Eddie Fitzgerald lyrics
Oh the river is wide and the water is cold the mountains are high and the valleys so low but you're not alone, I am your everything and I'll be by your side till the rivers run dry.
He was a stranger to me and out of nowhere he came with a story to tell that penetrated my pain I saw into his soul to the angel inside and I'll never forget the blue of his eyes.
The rive is wide and the water is cold the mountains are high and the valleys so low but I'm not alone He is my everything and He'll stay by my side till the rivers run dry.
Well the message was clear coming straight to my heart from this weather-worn man precious words did impart I saw into his soul to the angel inside and I'll never forget the blue of his eyes yes I saw into his soul a kind-spirited guide and I'll never forget the blue of his eyes.
