Judie's notes on Reflections on Water...
This song was originally written as a song about trust. The words were incredibly ridiculous but I was determined to write a song this particular evening many years ago. My husband was and still is my best critic and I look to him for honest feedback. When I played this song for him he laughed so hard and said "You've got to be kidding". But I wasn't , I was really serious and acted as though I was quite offended. So about a week or so later while taking a canoe ride down a lazy river I said to him., "OK smart ass, see what you can do with the melody". And this was the end result of our joint venture in songwriting. You will notice several references to nature. And I must admit, the words and meaning in this song are sooooo much better than the original.

Reflections on Water lyrics
My life today is like a river flowing gently down the stream no longer do I fight the current I have learned to just let go it feels so free to just let go.
I've shed my tears into the river and so it is that we are one the wind has whispered softly to me "You're new life has just begun" it feels like my life's just begun.
In the past my fear was frozen deep inside, I could not move until I took flight like a bird whose startled by a sudden stirring change and now my life is rearranged.
Overflowing past the edge or drying till its empty this is the natural ebb and flow as it keeps moving gently.
The river keeps on rolling forward sweeping towards its destiny giving life to all who dare to ride along its mystery my life has been a mystery.
