It's a very long journey to heal the ghosts from my past
Yes it's a haunting process as images find their way back
Sometimes I feel like a stranger, blocked away from my mind
But body memories force their way out and the pain is right behind.

Dissociation has been my key to survival
Providing me a shelter where I could run and hide
And all these hiding places have held my secrets safe
But now I need to know them so all of us can be released.

     Sometimes it seems as though this will never end
     Sometimes it feels as thought the pain will never mend

     I can feel the strength and courage from the Power that is there.
